Astell & Kern AK SP2000 CU Music Player

The SP2000 is the latest portable player from the Astell&Kern A&ultima line and the first to use separate, independent audio channels between the Unbalanced and Balanced outputs. Featuring two AK4499EQ DACs, SP2000 offers more power than ever before for the ultimate audio experience.

A New Norm
This new flagship DAP offers 6Vrms Balanced output and 3Vrms Unbalanced output and supports up to 32-bit/768KHz bit-to-bit playback of high-resolution PCM audio and native playback of DSD up to DSD512. It also features an Octa-Core CPU, a 5-inch touchscreen, 512GB of internal memory (double of previous Astell&Kern players), MQA support (pending final testing and certification) and dual-band Wi-Fi with a stereo antenna, for improved network performance when streaming music. The SP2000 will be available in July 2019 for $3,500.

Design Concept
The design of the SP2000 improves upon its predecessor, enhancing the details and maintaining the unique crown pattern volume/power wheel. The music player will be available in Stainless Steel and Copper bodies.

The SP2000 DAP features two of the latest Asahi Kasei flagship DAC, the AK4499, and an octa-core CPU. This new flagship player supports 32bit/768kHz, DSD512, dual-band wireless connectivity (2.4 & 5 GHz), and an increased power output of 6Vrms Balanced. With a 5-inch HD (720 x 1,280) display screen and internal storage of 512GB, the SP2000 is available in both Stainless Steel & Copper finishes.
